Sarah Rabbers
Sarah Rabbers, from St. Joseph, Michigan, is a 2009 graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Communications. Sarah is trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, tap, pointe, and modern and has received additional training in hip hop, Zumba, STOTT Pilates, and various forms of ballroom. Sarah has danced for Studio Dance Theater, Western Dance Project, The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, Against the Grain Dance Company, The USA Ballet, Framework Dance Chicago, m.c. squared Dance Company, Chicago Freelance Dance and CORE Project Chicago. She has performed Balanchine's “Serenade,” Tudor's “Dark Elegies, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty” and “Cinderella,” as well as many contemporary works. Now in her 15th year of teaching, Sarah teaches throughout Chicagoland and in Michigan. She is also an active choreographer whose work has been shown at dance competitions including Dance Chicago 2010 & 2011, Chicago Freelance Dance and Dance Chance. Her work can also be seen in the 2011 indie short film, Glimpse. Sarah is the artistic director of her own professional company, Tapestry Dance Company.
